Decision
After dinner which consisted of polenta,
roasted cod on chickpea mush
and lemon geranium cake with organic wine
I picked up an attractive programme
that advertised a weekend of green cuisine
and a special course on women’s health:
I would learn how to eat for well-being
radiance and vitality in three days
at the genuine mediaeval organic centre where
I was promised juice followed by yoga
before breakfast and a talk on preventing
osteoporosis, followed by a break;
there would be morning and afternoon
demonstrations of dishes to enhance
natural menopause and discourage cancer;
all foods would be rich in phytosterols
and there would be lunch and questions
before departure. I decided not to go.
